Sherman Chow is the Director of Claims for the Municipal Insurance Association of British Columbia, an insurance reciprocal with over 170 municipalities and regional districts as members. The MIABC manages a wide range of liability, property and ancillary insurance claims for its members.
He was born and raised in Vancouver and attended the University of British Columbia where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Political Science. He has been in the insurance industry for 33-years and will be celebrating his 25th year anniversary at the MIABC. He has been the Claims Manager since 2001 and was the Director of Insurance for two years to launch the property insurance program before returning to the claims department. He is a Chartered Insurance Professional and has a diploma in Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management.
He is a frequent speaker to MIABC Members and to local government associations.
