Born in India, Sukh immigrated to Canada in 1969. He did his elementary education at Savona
Elementary school and graduated from Norkam Senior Secondary school.
After he attended Cariboo College for 2 years, Sukh transferred to Simon Fraser University where he
completed an Honors degree in Business Administration.
Subsequent to the degree, he received his Chartered Accountant designation while working at the
Kamloops office of Price Waterhouse.
Sukh was employed at the City of Merritt from 1992 to 1999 as City Treasurer and then joined the
Thompson Nicola Regional District in 1999 as Director of Finance. He has been in the position of Chief
Administrative Officer of the TNRD since 2011.
Sukh has been married to Lucky Gill since 1989 and have 3 great daughters.
Sukh is a Charter Rotary member of Aurora Club and has also played an integral role in the IndoCanlinks
Charity Golf Tournament for the past 20 years.
