Matthew Milne - Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP
While insuring construction projects is common place for local governments, the process can be confusing. In this session, Jane and Matt will answer some of your most common questions such as, “Why do I need to make sure that all these different policies are in place? How do they all interact if I have to make or respond to a claim?”
They will discuss the types of insurance coverage usually found in Builders Risk (or Course of Construction), Wrap Up Liability, and Errors and Omissions policies and how these interact in the event of a loss during or after construction. They will address specific topics which are commonly the subject of disputes, including coverage for claims involving data loss, bodily or personal injury, faulty work materials and design, fungi, asbestos, and off site pollution. Finally, Jane and Matt will discuss the debate over coverage of additional insureds.
