Samantha has an undergraduate degree from Queens University and is a graduate of the University of Calgary Faculty of Law. She was called to the BC bar in 2015 after completing her articles at a large regional insurance defence firm. Since that time, she has worked on the MIABC’s in-house legal team defending members on a wide variety of claims in the BC Provincial, Supreme and Appeal Courts.

As Assistant General Counsel, Samantha continues to handle and defend member claims along with supporting the General Counsel in managing the legal team. She is also a regular contributor to the MIABC’s Member Services department and can often be found creating and presenting risk management education content as well as helping to develop resources for the MIABC’s members. Samantha loves working on the MIABC team because it means she gets to collaborate with our wonderful membership to cultivate safe and thriving communities across the province.
