Kala Harris is the executive director of the Government Finance Officers Association of BC. Comprised of over 1,000 members representing municipalities and regional districts across the province. The association’s mission is to promote excellence in local government by providing education and professional development for local government finance officers and their staff. Guided by a dedicated Board of Directors and supported by several standing committees and staff, as executive director, Kala works tirelessly to ensure that the association is relevant to its members, is a center for dialogue on local government finance matters and encourages cross-partnership opportunities for the benefit of all stakeholders.
